Galphimia glauca
Batang yang masih muda diselimuti oleh bulu bulu halus
berwarna kemerahan.
Daunnya lonjong dengan panjang 2,5 -4 cm.
Bunga cantic berwarna kuning cerah dengan diameter 2 – 3 cm
dan tumbuh berkelompok pada batang bunga sepanjang 10 -15 cm.
Hujan emas akan tampil cantic bila selalu dipangkas rendah
untuk mendapatkan kesan rimbun.
Bahkan dengan pemangkasan teratur dan penyinaran sinar
matahari yang cukup tanaman akan semakin rajin berbunga.

The species has escaped from cultivation and can be found naturalized in grassland, disturbed sites and along roadside. Do you know that currently it is listed as invasive only in Cuba.
In Indonesia, this Galphimia used as ornamental plant. Planting as border or roadside ornament because of the flower very often blooming and minimum maintenance.
I found it at Plaza Senayan one of the biggest mall in Jakarta. Used as ornamental landscape at coffee boot gazebo.
G glauca is a popular herbal medicine that has been used as a tranquilizer in the treatment of nervous system diorder since prehispanic times and also been found to have other pharmacological uses, including an antiinflamatory, antimalaric, antialergic and antiastmatic
