Origin : South Africa
Distribution : Pantropical, Before 1835 (Weed of Rice In Indonesia) already naturalized in Java. Has spread everywhere, except Kalimantan anf the Moluccas.
Ecology :
A very common weed, preferring moisture soil.
Flower all the year round.
In one week after shedding, 35-60% of the seed germinate.
Seed stored for 3-5 years showed 80% germination.
There can be up to 4 generations a year.⚘๐ฑ๐ผ

Weed of 31 crops in more than 40 countries, including Indonesia, South America and East Africa are the most infested.
